SAT dates 2026–2027: where to find registration and scores
The SAT is offered eight times a year in the United States, seven times abroad. Test dates, registration deadlines and score release dates are published by the College Board, not by high schools.
The SAT is administered by the College Board, which publishes eight national test dates for students in the United States. Registration closes about a month before the test date, and scores arrive two to three weeks later.
High schools do not set the dates: they may host the test, but the session and the registration deadline come from the College Board. That is why two students in the same city can have different dates if they test at different centers.
Three deadlines matter: the test date, the registration deadline (with a late fee after it) and the score release date. A fourth one is often forgotten: the deadline for sending scores to colleges.
We do not publish exam dates until they have been checked on the official page: a wrong date makes a student miss registration, and the harm is immediate.
